The Bian Stone Gua Sha
Sculpt. Restore. Circulate.
Crafted from genuine Bian stone, this multi-edge gua sha is designed for face and body work, supporting deep lymphatic flow, fascia release, and whole-body renewal. Its smart geometry hugs contours while the teethed ridges offer gentle texturing ideal for mature scars (including C-section and “mommy makeover” scars) to help improve tissue glide and comfort. Every curve, ridge, and angle has a job: move fluid, melt tension, and bring balance back to skin and fascia.
The Bian Stone Gua Sha
Unlike generic crystal (or resin) tools, Bian stone contains over 40 trace minerals and has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to stimulate circulation and detoxification. It warms easily in your hands and retains heat to support deeper release.
Each stone is unique. Slight variations in texture are natural and part of its functional character.
Use for Face & Body
- Apply your favorite oil to clean skin.
- Use light–medium pressure.
- Sweep upward and outward, always finishing toward the nearest lymph node (ears/jawline for face; armpit or groin for body).
- Clean with gentle soap and warm water after each use. Store dry.
Scar care protocol (for fully healed scars only)
- When to start: Only after your surgeon or healthcare provider clears you and the incision is fully closed and non-tender (often 6–8+ weeks, depending on the procedure).
- Step 1: Warm the area: With the flat edge, make slow, light sweeps around and then across the scar for 30–60 seconds.
- Step 2: Texture & mobilize: Switch to the teethed ridges. Use tiny, feather-light “combing” strokes along the length of the scar, then across it. Keep pressure light; you’re smoothing, not scraping. 30–60 seconds.
- Step 3: Lift & glide: Use a curved/3D edge to make short, gentle lifts at the scar edges to encourage tissue mobility. 30–60 seconds.
- Step 4: Flush: Finish with broad, flat sweeps toward the nearest lymph node for 30–60 seconds.
- Frequency: 3–4×/week, total time 1–3 minutes per area. Consistency beats intensity.
Safety notes
- Do not use on open wounds, stitches, scabs, active rashes, infections, or hot/painful scars.
- Stop if you feel sharp pain, significant redness, or swelling.
- Postpartum/abdomen work: get provider clearance first. Avoid deep abdominal pressure.
Curved Dome Edge
Contours naturally around the face and jaw. Ideal for sweeping movements across the cheeks, neck, and forehead to support lymphatic drainage and skin elasticity.
Toothed Edge
Helps stimulate microcirculation and gently disrupt adhesions in the fascia. Especially effective along the jawline, arms, thighs, and scalp.
Pointed Tip
Targets acupressure points, fine lines, and facial tension. Use between the brows, around the sinus area, and for jaw or TMJ release.
Flat Bottom Edge Covers larger areas like the shoulders, neck, and arms. Perfect for post-workout lymph flow or evening tension release.
